Regional Development: Senator kalu tasks SEDC , NWDC members on productivity, infrastructure development

Senator representing Abia North senatorial Zone and Chairman senate committee on South East Development commission, Senator Orji Uzor kalu has advised members of the south East Development commission and North West Development commission to work assiduously with innovation to fast track Development in the region’s .
He gave this advice in Abuja during his address to members of the new bodies .
“The commissions should look for innovations that would survive the people. Both the senate and House of representatives have a duty to inspect what you are doing as part of our oversight functions. I report both to the senate and the president and commander- in -chief. Use the people’s money to energize the Economy”– He said
The distinguished senator and former Governor of Abia State task them to invest the resources allocated to the two commissions towards building interstate railway system, industries and other projects that would ensure sustainable Development in the regions.
The South East Development commission and North West Development commission were established after the Establishment of the North East Development commission.
The SEDC and NWDC were established to accelerate infrastructure development such as roads , bridges, Healthcare facilities and stimulate economic activities in the two regions.
