Eight players qualify for Quarter ,semi finals of ANLCA table tennis tournament scheduled to hold Saturday December 7

Eight out of the 26 players shortlisted from ANLCA, NAGAFF , Maritime media and various other organisations have qualified for the quarter and semi finals of the tournament which kicked off today , December the 6 in Lagos.
The first stage of the much awaited Table tennis tournament started at about 10am with the 26 players divided into 8 Groups.
Vice President of ANLCA, Otunba Segun oduntan in partnership with the Nigeria Table tennis Federation (NTTF) are the organisers of the tournament.
Maritime journalist, Babatunde Aremu, who represented Maritime reporters Association of Nigeria ( MARAN) was among the players who crossed the hurdles of the first stage to get to the second stage of the tournament with the aim of bringing maritime stakeholders together and promote unity in the sector.
At the end of the second stage of the table tennis tournament, only Eight players: Ohadike mike, Kareem Murtala, Wisau Ibrahim, Olalekan Akeem, Ogbor Donatus, Oshodi Tajudeen, Igwe Simon yenechukwu and Olatunji Adewale made it to the Quarter final stage.
It would be recalled that the Vice President of ANLCA, Otunba Segun oduntan and the western zone Chairman of ANLCA, Femi Anifowoshe made it known at a press briefing held before the tournament that a grand prize of ..₦10,000,000
( Ten million Naira ) has been set aside for the tournament.
The Quarter and semi finals of the tournament has been fixed for Saturday, December the 7, 2024 so as to move to the final and determine the winner of the table tennis tournament.
Maritime industry Bigwigs are expected to Grace the Quarter , senior finals and closing ceremony of the Table tennis tournament scheduled to hold at the same venue: Not bad Arena , 12 Dele Olupona street, Egbeda , opposite faith Academy, Gowon Estate, Lagos.
