Former Governor of Abia State and Senator Representing Abia North senatorial district Orji Uzor kalu has asked The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to take over the conduct of local government elections in Nigeria to ensure credibility and transparency.
The distinguished senator, Business man and Philanthropist made this call in an exclusive interview with Newsmen
In Abuja, Nigeria’s federal Capital Territory.
“We must stop making a mockery of our democracy in the name of local government elections. What we witnessed across the country was nothing short of a charade . It is time for everyone to unite and fix our third tier of Government areas to flourish”– He said
